Reflections on the ending of the decade

It’s finally here. The end of the first decade in the 21st century. It is difficult to believe that 10 years ago millions across the globe gathered around their TV sets with bated breath, waiting for Y2K or the end of the world. Maybe that hysteria at the very beginning of the decade was a hint of all madness to come.
